Egg in a bread with grated Entremont Emmental cheese
- 1 bun
- 1 egg
- 1 spring onion
- Grated Entremont Emmental cheese
- 1.5 tablespoon light cream
Cut off the top of the bun and set aside.
Using a pastry cutter, cut out a hollow in the centre of the bottom half of the bun. Make a small incision in the side of the bun and make sawing movements with the knife to cut out the dough.
Remove the dough and bake the bun in the oven for 3 min. at 180°C.
Put 1.5 tablespoon of low fat cream at the bottom of the bun. Cover with grated Entremont Emmental cheese.
Separate the white of the egg from the yolk and pour over the grated cheese. Set the yolk aside. Bake at 180°C for approx. 8 min.
Remove from the oven and add the yolk. Continue baking until the yolk begins to thicken but is not set. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, put the top half of the bun bottom side up on the baking tray.
Sprinkle the new onion over the egg. Cover with the top of the bun and serve with lettuce.
